people speak of love and light
we wake in the morning, sleep at night
use cardboard boxes to move things
and claim that angels possess wings
there's good and bad, music and books
smiles, winks and 'dirty looks'
we assign names for everything
the rich and poor, a queen and king
we drive in cars that carry loads
believe respect is shared or owed
we live in houses, work for money
believe in Jesus and the Easter bunny
some are colour blind and some see red
some are alive and some are dead
some shoot white powder into veins
some live in china, some in Spain
the grass is green, the sky is blue
there's him and her, me and you
we have favourites, faith and deception
all this presented to us by our perception
all are objects that dwell in our mind
we construct them, they're our design
swim within, discover all you unfurl
is inside us, we are the world.

Nice!! I really like this poem, very well done, simple but deep.
